Conventional Cheque Clearing

Traditional cheque clearing involves multiple manual steps, branches, messengers, sorting, ledger entries, and physical movement of cheque bundles. This results in delays, operational complexity and customer dissatisfaction, particularly for outstation cheques which can take 5 to 15 days to clear.

What is Insta CrDr?

Insta CrDr is our real-time image-based cheque clearing system that truncates physical cheques from the clearing process, using secure image-based workflows instead of manual movement of instruments.

Insta CrDr uses in-house developed controls, commands and security logic to handle the entire business process at admirable speed, preserving scanned cheque images and enabling rapid retrieval.

How Insta CrDr Works
  1. Cheques presented for clearing are scanned and stored in the branch-level Insta CrDr database.
  2. Images are grouped, verified and authenticated.
  3. Verified images are securely transmitted to the clearing house as outward flow.
  4. At the clearing house, images from branches are sorted bank/branch wise and consolidated.
  5. Consolidated files are transferred electronically to respective branches as inward flow for verification and posting.
  6. Dishonoured cheque images are regrouped and routed back electronically, eliminating physical movement.

The entire process runs in real time over a secured network, irrespective of distance between branches.
